Evelyne and Rémi are vine-growers and wine producers in the pretty village of Saint Thierry, a few minutes’ drive from the motorway, and less than 3 hours from Calais. It lies on the Champagne Route, 6 km from the city of Reims and its beautiful cathedral.
The village dates back to the 6th century and has a rich history closely associated with the abbey where the future kings of France used to stay before their coronation in Reims Cathedral. The influence of the monks in the centuries that followed was also instrumental in the development of the vineyards in the surrounding area. it is not by chance that this sunny south~facing hillside was chosen by the monks to produce their wine; the success of one of the most famous and prestigious Champagne houses is evidence of the wisdom of their choice.
